All Apache SpamAssassin and open-source MTA users would benefit from the additions of traffic shaping to their systems to improve spam protection and reduce load on the SpamAssassin servers.
Traffic Control 3 is distributed as downloadable software designed specifically to install ahead of an existing SpamAssassin implementation, open-source MTA or other email gateway.
Interested users can download the software from the MailChannels website, install it and add traffic management capability to their current email solution. The package will be freely available to small ISP and other users. Larger organizations, especially ISPs users will see significant financial benefit from traffic control across multiple concurrent sessions.
The downloadable version of Traffic Control works with any open-source MTA and comes with a 30-day trial license offering fully scalable capabilities of Traffic Control. Once the 30-day trial is complete, unless licensed, Traffic Control is restricted to a single MTA connection.

Small Organizations benefit too - at no charge! While larger organizations see dramatic cost savings from Traffic Control 3, non-commercial users like individuals and small organizations can leverage traffic shaping to get relief from spam. To use Traffic Control 3 at no charge, low volume users are allowed to communicate over one MTA connection and all inbound connections are multiplexed across a single connection between Traffic Control 3 and the downstream MTA. In most cases, 10,000 connections per day are ample for non-commercial use.
