Yes, we provide SMTP services on port 25, 587, and 2525. If you can configure your mail server to relay through a smart host, you can use our service.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF), “is an email validation system designed to prevent email spam by detecting email spoofing, a common vulnerability, by verifying sender IP addresses” (Wikipedia).
To use any mail relay service, including MailChannels or alternative solutions, you must update SPF records to authorize our service to send on your behalf by including the following string: include:relay.mailchannels.net
For more information, see the Set up SPF records help article.
Our servers are located in multiple data centers across North America and Europe to ensure low latency and high availability.
We use advanced algorithms to minimize false positives. When we reject a message, we always provide a URL in the rejection message, which allows the sender (end-user) to report the false positive directly to us. You can find false positive reporting features within the Host Console interface under ‘Log Search’.

Email API FAQs
MailChannels Email API is a robust HTTP-based service for sending transactional emails. It allows applications to send emails efficiently without the need to maintain complex email infrastructure. Simply integrate our API into your application, and we’ll handle the delivery process.
View API documentation.
Yes, we offer a free developer plan that includes 100 emails per day. This plan is perfect for testing and small-scale projects. For higher volume needs, we recommend upgrading to one of our paid plans.
MailChannels uses a tier-based pricing model based on monthly email volume. Visit our pricing page to select your required email volume and view the corresponding price. We offer transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
We count one send per recipient. If you send a single message to 100 recipients, that counts as 100 sends toward your usage. A “send” includes any attempted delivery from our system — even if it’s deferred, rejected, or marked as spam by the recipient’s provider.
To maintain service quality, we pause email delivery when you exceed your plan’s limit. We recommend monitoring your usage and upgrading your plan proactively if you anticipate higher volume needs. Email delivery resumes at the start of your next billing cycle unless you switch to a higher plan, in which case a prorated increase in the volume limit will be applied from that date until the end of your billing cycle.
No, unused emails don’t roll over. Your plan’s email allocation resets at the beginning of each billing cycle, ensuring a fresh start each month.
Currently, we don’t offer an intermediate tier between our free developer plan (100 emails/day) and our 10,000 emails/month paid plan. We’re always evaluating our offerings based on customer feedback.
Over time, having a dedicated IP address is becoming less important as a mechanism for ensuring reliable email delivery. New domain-based authentication requirements mean that your domain’s reputation has far more impact on deliverability than the IP you send from. As a result of the decline in the importance of dedicated IPs, MailChannels has decided to send from shared pools and to leave dedicated IPs as a potential feature for future development. If your application absolutely requires a dedicated IP, please raise a support ticket and your request will be routed to our product team, who are always keen to learn about use cases we haven’t seen before. Just set the subject to “Dedicated IP,” and we’ll respond soon.
Yes, MailChannels is fully GDPR compliant. We adhere to all necessary data protection laws and regulations to ensure the privacy and security of your data. For more details, please review our Data Privacy and GDPR Policy.
